A regular Steam ID can be converted to more modern formats to help find users and administer accordingly. This is mostly for quick glances and easy copying. Each user gets a unique ID after registering on Steam.

The properties differ from a normal nickname since this type of ID consists only of numbers and cannot be changed by the user.
