Hi, im a n00b here, I think as Beatlookup is getting very popular these days due to the youtube video's and popularity of Ableton Live could someone please write a Dummies guide to using all three of these programs together.
Im quite familiar with ableton live but only Just got Reaktor and beatlookup so its VERY confusing to me, to be Honest I dont know WHAT is what, and I know you have probably explained it times, but can there be a dummies guide for this?
Lucifer wins for vocal phrases whereas the functionality of Beatlookup is more than addequate if beats is your thing Glitching wise you could with some work set up a number i got it to 4 of stutter racks that sounded really good, on the other hand the way that Lucifer can run many different sizes of cut-up, it's hyper function whereby it filters through the turn of a knob different speed settings of repeat to give a fantastic build up effect is unrivalled and you can use it's bounce or gate controls to totally destroy the sound that enters the plug in I've never used the drawing of automation and haven't even started to scratch the surface of what lucifer can do, but then it does what it needs to for me!
Beatlookup though has the best sounding reverse, and gives a pretty good turntable stop effect if you can map the speed to a midi control If it was my money then i'd be paying for Reaktor! But then if it's about time then Lucifer is fantastic out of the box Best of both worlds Get both! Cheers D.
