But when they brought in new upper management who had little regard for existing employees, things went quickly downhill. Even those with many years at Calyx and who were hard working and productive were treated poorly. It takes some time to see their "true colors.

Very unprofessional management and inconsistent policies. Some people come and go as they please while others are micromanaged and accountable for every minute. People who are unproductive or inept continue to thrive while others are ignored. Rumors are rampant about why certain people have managed to keep their jobs for so long.

Many people are hired for or moved to positions where they are not qualified, setting both the employee and the company up for failure, yet they do not change the way they manage personnel. They claim to be family-oriented but when it comes down to it, they're not. Most managers are not seasoned or experienced and will do whatever they want because they don't know any different. HR is outsourced which makes it difficult when issues arise. It seems like no one is on the side of the employee.

I would not recommend anyone work here if you care about your career unless you are desperate and just need a paycheck. Chances of being promoted are zero, chances of being paid the market rate for your position are zero, chances of receiving anything that will support you or your career are zero. You might be happy at first, but that will change. Pros Most people are nice. So far so good! Although some of the systems are a bit old- school paper checks - the brains behind the operation are top notch.

I love this place It has its ups and downs, however it is a great place to be. They will make sure you will have all the tools you need to be successful. They pay you less than average but benefits especially health insurance is great for the family. Job security is there but no growth.
