24v to 10 v converter
All rights reserved. Google Author Verification. Adjustable 1. Adjustable 0. Marine grade 55 amp 24V to 12V DC converter for boats and yachts The input range is 18 to 32 volts. Military style bayonet connector. This convenient module increases the input voltage over the range 2.
These inexpensive 24 watt DC-DC converters are also useful for truck and automotive applications. To be safe, you would need at least a 10 W resistor, and that would get plenty warm. Even if your current drain is only mA, you are still talking about 1. The next simplest solution is to use a linear regulator, such as the LM This at least allows for a varying current drain. But you still have a problem with heat, as you need to dissipate the same power inside the chip.
So you should be able to handle up to mA or so, provided you also have a hefty heatsink. The best solution is to use a buck regulator. It will drop the voltage without encountering the heat issue. The L takes an input voltage from 8V to 55V, and outputs an adjustable voltage anywhere from 3. It comes in a hobbyist friendly 8-pin DIP package. Sign up to join this community. What current, for what purpose, and what do you expect the potentiometer to do exactly? I agree the part about the pot is bonkers. I see nothing to indicate any significant current draw is required. I've revised my answer to make that more clear. I did assume the 10V is a power rail, since the voltage would be too high for any microcontroller ADC.
